一、教材内容分析
Firstly, the overall analysis. The teaching design of this unit is selected fro m the People's Education Edition Go For It! Unit 8 When is your birthday? "Date" is not only the core of this unit , but also the key of teaching. The contents is close to students' life. Students can be interested in this topic.Also,student can express their birthday and the date of the activity. Besides, asking each other's birthday in pairs can enhance the friendship between classmates and make students get good emotional experience.
Secondly,analysis of section A and section B. Section A is the basic part.The content is month, ordinal number, and the expression of date. Section B is based on Section A.It consolidates what we have learned. The content is fro m "talking about birthdays" to "talking about various activities". Students can learn to talk about the dates and arrangements of activities. And through listening, speaking, reading and writing activities, promote the improvement of students' comprehensive ability.
Finally, analysis of the four periods of this unit. In the first period (SectionA1a-2e), the main content is the months, ordinal number and the special questions which are led by When to talk about the birthday. In the second period (Section A Grammar focus-3c) mainly reviews what we have learned. The third period (Section B 1a-1d), the main content of the class is fro m birthday to school activities.In the forth period (Section B 2a-Self Check),the main content moves fro m activities to events, and fro m sentence to note. The four periods move fro m easy to complicated and form a complete unit.
二、学习者特征分析
Students in Grade 7 have strong interests and curiosities in English. However, the students who just entered junior school are unfamiliar with the environment,so the teacher should give students sufficient opportunities to express their opinions in class.In addition, various ways should be adopted to encourage the whole class to participate in teaching, such as working in groups and in pairs.
Students in the seventh grade are not using their comprehensive abilities sufficiently.Teachers should cultivate students' listening, speaking, reading and writing ability to promote the improvement of students' comprehensive ability.
