This unit comes from the book which is published by People’s Education Press. It is about the daily routines that students are most familiar with. Through the sentence patterns (--What time is it? ---It is six . What time do you usually get up? ---I usually get up at six a.m.), by talking about daily routines, the time expression and the question way, at the same time gradually the student's reasonable time arrangement ability can be trained. The whole unit focuses on talking about daily work and rest schedule, integrating language, vocabulary and time expressions involved in daily life into a series of small tasks. Grade 7 students can achieve the purpose of communication by completing one task after another, so that they can reasonably arrange their work and rest schedule and a preliminary understanding of the time difference.

The seventh grade students, because of their young age, coupled with a lively and active nature—intuitive image thinking, are especially interested in games, competitions, painting. Since the students just learn the sentence pattern, some students can not use them correctly, and some still dare not to say. According to current situation of students, the teacher should encourage them to pay attention to cultivating students’ interest in learning English, encourage students to speak English, especially create opportunities for them to open their mouths, and let them taste the joy of success.
Through the previous study, the students have acquired a certain sense of language and the ability to use the present tense, and can also express their personal opinions in simple English. In this unit, students will master the expression of time and talk about the schedule in English.
