一、教材内容分析

In this unit, Part A is the basic teaching content, focusing on listening and speaking training, giving consideration to grammar learning. Part B is to expand the topic on the basis of Part A, focusing on training students' reading and writing skills in addition to listening and speaking, and helping students to flexibly use the language they have learned to perform oral and written output.  The part of Shelf-check help students to reviews and evaluates Part A and Part B, reflecting the teaching idea of "listening and speaking first, reading and writing second, and then evaluation".

In addition, in this unit, students will learn to talk about clothes, including the price and color of clothes, clothes preferences and polite expressions when shopping, which is the most concerned topic for middle school students who love beauty. It is close to students' life and can easily stimulate students' initiative and interest in learning. What’s more, students will learn how to thank people through shopping dialogues. 

二、学习者特征分析

The students are in the seventh grade. They have a good memory and imitation ability to learn English. They also have a strong thirst for knowledge and expressive desire. They also hope to get others' affirmation. However, some students are not confident, ashamed to show their thoughts. Therefore, the teacher will try her best to involve students in teaching activities to have more opportunities to speak English and reduce their fear. Due to the weak foundation and lack of rich language foundation, some students with difficulty in learning have some difficulties in completing some tasks. The teacher will encourage them more in the teaching process, so that they can experience the joy of success and students at all levels can gain something.
