Abstract
In recent years, entertainment-oriented rewriting has played a more and more important role in the subtitle translation, which seems to be a trend in the translation area. They make subtitle translation humorous, vivid, and easy to understand in virtue of a large number of familiar Chinese traditional culture, network buzzwords and famous names. It is a humorous way to make the audience enjoy the film.

It does research on the domestic and foreign defamiliarization, entertainment-oriented rewriting and subtitle translation. The thesis also explores the characteristics and relationships between the defamiliarization, entertainment rewriting and subtitle translation, and probes into the importance and application of two theories in the subtitle translation.
