ABSTRACT

China English is the product of the combination of the Standard English and  unique Chinese culture. This thesis takes The Woman Warrior and The Joy Luck Club as examples, aiming to analyse the use and function of China English in Chinese American literature. This paper attempts to analyse the cultural elements conveyed in China English, and its influence in English speaking countries, hoping to help readers understand the purpose of writing China English in Chinese American literature.
