Abstract: Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World depicts a warning dystopian world. This paper analyzes the identity crisis under the totalitarian rule in the novel. This paper consists of four parts. Firstly, it introduces the author, the novel and the research status at home and abroad. The second part explores the totalitarian rule of World State along the three lines: the embryonic period, childhood, and adulthood. The third part focuses on the identity crisis of different castes and an outsider as a result of totalitarian rule. With the review in the fourth part, it concludes that respecting individuality and advocating freedom have significance for human survival and social development.
