This unit is the fourth one from the textbook of Book 2 by People Education Press. The main topic of this unit is to introduce some basic rules in school and family.
After learning this unit, students will understand the importance of rules in the world. Their listening, speaking, reading and writing ability can also be improved. In addition, students can master the usage of modal verbs.
The first period of this module is 1a-1c, section A. The teaching type of this class is Vocabulary, which helps students make a solid foundation for the following learning process.
The second period of this unit is 2a-2d, something about listening and speaking the rules appearing in school. The main task of this class is students can be clear with the rules when they are listening and grasp the basic sentences made up with “can” and “can’t”. This period is to develop the students’ listening and speaking abilities and to cultivate their teamwork spirits. After this class, Students can be trained to recognize and comply with the rules in school.
The third period of this unit is Grammar. Here students can learn to use the modal verbs, “can”, “can’t” and“must”. At the same time, the sentence structures, such as “don’t” and “have to do”, will be mastered by the students.
The fourth period of this unit is aimed to teach students the rules existing in their families. It is a vocabulary class, which can enlarge students’ vocabulary, improve their awareness to regulations in their daily lives and make a solid foundation for the learning of Section B.
The fifth period of this unit is from 2a-2c, the class type of which is reading and writing. After learning this period, students can master some reading skills and write a letter by themselves.
The last period of this unit is practice and consolidation. Students will practice the vocabularies and phrases in means of spelling, talking and doing some exercises on text book.
