This unit is the ninth unit in the first volume of Grade 7 Go for it. This unit mainly focuses on expressing preferences and giving reasons, which is closely related to student’s daily life. Thus students will participate positively in relevant activities, which can help them make progress and build up confidence. This unit consists of two parts, namely section A and section B. In section A, students can learn how to ask and answer their favorite subject in English and the reason why they like it, and learn to use adjectives such as fun, interesting, boring, difficult and relaxing to express why they like a certain subject. Beyond that, the study of Wh-Questions helps students communicate better, such as What’s your favorite subject?, Why do you like...?, and Who is your ...teacher? In section B, there are some tasks about talking about class schedule, so students can improve their oral expression ability, and at the same time, they can improve their reading comprehension ability and writing ability. In addition, this section inspires students to use English more in their life.

Students’ basic knowledge is relatively weak, therefore, teachers should fully stimulate students' interest in learning English, and cultivate good learning habits for students. English is a language subject, and many students may be afraid of making mistakes and dare not to express themselves. Therefore, teachers should design more activities, such as role playing, making dialogues and many other forms, so that students can fall in love with learning English. In addition, students are interested in the content of real life and have active thinking. The teacher should strengthen supervision and guide students to summarize. Besides, cooperative learning can be used as another form to enable students to use English flexibly, enhance their sense of teamwork and self-confidence.
