中文摘要:影视作品是最具当代特征的文化载体之一, 其表现形式、语言艺术及文化底蕴均体现出浓郁的时代特征, 反映了当代社会的各种思潮, 折射出社会各阶层、各群体最具典型意义的意识形态。20世纪末，随着经济全球化的加深、科学技术的日新月异以及当代传媒的多元化特别是计算机、网络等多种先进传播媒体的普及，大量国外优秀影视作品进入中国市场，成为跨文化交际的一种普遍而重要的方式。作为影视翻译主要手段之一的字幕翻译，因其成本低、时效高等优点越来越广泛地被大众使用，受关注度也不断提高。但是，相对传统的文学翻译而言，字幕翻译由于其通俗大众性，翻译质量还有待进一步提高，国内外对这一领域也尚未形成完整的、成熟的理论体系，字幕翻译在翻译界地位仍比较低下。本文选取了电影字幕翻译为主要研究对象，探索分析字幕翻译可能遇到的问题，并以奈达的功能对等理论为指导，尝试性提出一些字幕翻译的有效策略，如减译、归化、保持原文语言和文体风格以及补充非语言信息等。
