摘  要:陀螺运动是一项富有民族传统特色的体育运动，是西南少数民族最喜爱的传统体育活动，是民族传统体育宝库中的一颗灿烂明珠。它作为新平县花腰傣族最受欢迎的民族传统体育项目之一，不仅能有效增强体质，提高身心健康水平，更能弘扬民族文化，培养民族意识、民族精神。对于该地区的社会和谐发展具有重要的意义。它所具有的集体性、群众性、娱乐性的特点，对促进当地群众健身活动具有其它项目所难以比及的独特作用。本文运用文献资料法、问卷调查法、数理统计法等对新平县花腰傣族，腰街地区参加陀螺运动的人员进行问卷调查，结合调查数据得出陀螺运动对于当地群众身心健康的积极影响。同时，就存在的问题提出了建议，为新平县花腰傣族地区陀螺运动持续健康地广泛开展提供了新的思路。
